Henschke The Henschke family is one of the longest-established wine names in the Barossa. Each generation built upon the reputation for quality, but it was fourth-generation Cyril Alfred Henschke who in 1958 created the wine that has most captured the red wine world's imagination - Hill of Grace. His first vintage of this shiraz was produced in 1958.

Today, fifth-generation Stephen Henschke and his wife Prue uphold the family name and reputation, as winemaker and viticulturist respectively. The highly revered and much sought-after Hill of Grace is the pinnacle of the red wines - but another shiraz first made by Cyril, the Mount Edelstone, and the Cyril Henschke Cabernet Sauvignon introduced by Stephen as a tribute to his father - have forged their own niche with red wine lovers the world over.

The original two-storey cellar, built into the side of the hill in time for the 1868 vintage, has been added to throughout the generations. Now covered with ivy, the stone building retains an old-world charm with its open fermenters and winemaking memorabilia on display.

Cellar door, located in the original cellar building, has a rustic appeal with its low doorway, stone walls and early family portraits on the walls. Snug in size, it offers a warm welcome to those who venture down the long picturesque road from Keyneton in a quest for quality.

Jansz Tasmania In the northeast corner of Australia's southern island state is a wine region so perfect for creating sparkling wine that it has captured the interest of world-renowned French Champagne houses such as Louis Roederer of Reims, France, who shared the belief that the climate of the area was ideal for the production of finely structured méthode champenoise and helped establish the Jansz Tasmania vineyard.

With a climate very close to that of Champagne, this region is known simply as 'Sparkling Tasmania'. The Jansz vineyards lie in the Tamar Valley at the heart of Tasmania’s Pipers River region - the very centre of 'Sparkling Tasmania'.

With a mantle of red basalt soils and a cool climate moderated by the proximity of Bass Strait, the Jansz Tasmania vineyards are ideal for allowing grapes to ripen slowly and develop the lingering acidity essential to produce a premium sparkling wine.Jansz Tasmania has evolved to become known as the benchmark Australian sparkling wine.

For the fourth time in six years, Jansz Tasmania Premium Vintage Cuvée has been chosen as the Nation’s celebratory wine – an unprecedented achievement.

Established in 1993 by the National Australia Day Council and Sydney International Wine Competition, this Award represents the “best of Australia”. To qualify for this honour, Jansz Tasmania Premium Vintage Cuvée 2004 first received the Sydney International Wine Competition trophy for “Best Australian Sparkling Wine – Apéritif Style” 2009.

Clarendon Hills Clarendon Hills, 25 miles south of Adelaide, was established in 1989 by Roman Bratasiuk, the owner/winemaker. Since its establishment just over a decade ago Clarendon Hills has had amazing success.

Clarendon Hills has received excellent reviews from both critics and publications alike. From The Wine Advocate to the Wine Companion and Wine Spectator, to being named as one of Robert Parker's 'Wine Producers of the Year' in his newsletter Issue 108 - Clarendon Hills continues to impress. In August 2003, Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) names Clarendon Hills as one of Australia and the world's greatest wineries.

The quality of Clarendons success can be attributed to a number of things. Firstly the age of the vines, the town Clarendon was established in 1845. Today many of the vineyards surrounding the winery are over seventy years old; the gnarly and twisted bush vines are dry farmed and the grapes are hand picked.

Secondly the soil variation and quality, the soil profiles of each winery are very different. This difference, from the rock and shale of Piggott Range to the heavy clay of the Clarendon Grenache Vineyard.

Lastly Roman's dedication and philosophy to winemaking. His aim is quite simply to make wines equal to anything in the world.

Tyrrell's Wines 2008 marked the 150th anniversary of the Tyrrell families arrival in Pokolbin to commence its future in the Australian wine industry. 150 years of one family with a constant base and industry in which it operates is a rarity in the country. The Tyrrells have been on their vineyard for two thirds of Australia’s modern history.

The motto of ‘nothing is great unless it is good’ has been and will be the basis of all they do.

They have passed many milestones along the way, with the past 50 years contributing the most. The introduction of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to the modern Australian industry, the expansion outside the beloved Hunter Valley to McLaren Vale, Limestone Coast and Heathcote, and the championing of the Semillon variety from the Hunter are, the outstanding achivements.
